SMISKI Sunday Series vs. Regular Series: Which Edition Should You Collect?

Quick Answer

If you love cozy, playful scenes and a smaller lineup with a secret figure, the SMISKI Sunday Series is a charming choice. For a larger variety with more figures to collect and trade, regular series like the Construction Series offer broader diversity. Your pick hinges on whether you prefer themed storytelling or a wider assortment.

SMISKI figures have captured collectors' hearts with their tiny, corner-dwelling charm. The SMISKI Sunday Series introduces a relaxed holiday vibe, while regular series like the Construction Series offer everyday scenarios. Both come in blind boxes, so the thrill of discovery is part of the fun.

In this comparison, we'll break down what sets the Sunday Series apart from regular series, including lineup size, theme, and collectibility. Whether you're a seasoned collector or just starting, this guide helps you choose the edition that matches your style.

Theme and Atmosphere

The SMISKI Sunday Series focuses on a peaceful day off—think sunbathing, singing, and relaxing in cozy corners. It includes six regular figures plus one secret, each designed to evoke calm and warmth. Regular series like the Construction Series, on the other hand, depict active tasks such as measuring and building, bringing a different energy to your shelf.

Your choice depends on the mood you want your collection to convey. Sunday Series creates a serene, comforting display, while regular series add dynamic, busy scenes. Both capture SMISKI's signature charm, but they tell different stories.

• Sunday Series: relaxing, holiday-themed poses.
• Regular series (e.g., Construction): active, task-oriented scenes.

Lineup Size and Secret Figures

The Sunday Series includes six regular figures plus one secret, making a total of seven to collect. Regular series, such as the Construction Series, also feature six regular figures and one secret, but other regular series like the Marine Series boast a larger lineup of twelve plus secrets. This difference affects the challenge and variety of your hunt.

If you enjoy completing a compact set, the Sunday Series offers a manageable goal. If you prefer a longer chase with more figures to collect, opt for a regular series with a bigger lineup. Blind box packaging means you might get duplicates, so consider trading with friends or online communities.

• Sunday Series: 6 regular + 1 secret.
• Construction Series: 6 regular + 1 secret.
• Marine Series: 12 regular + secrets (more variety).

Collectibility and Rarity

Secret figures are randomly distributed, so they're the rarest in any series. The Sunday Series secret is highly sought after by fans who love the holiday theme. In regular series, rarity can vary; for example, the Marine Series has a larger pool, making specific figures harder to pull.

If you're after a specific secret, be prepared for multiple blind box purchases. The Sunday Series' smaller lineup might make the secret slightly more accessible, but it's still a matter of luck. Consider your budget and how much you enjoy the surprise factor.

• Secrets are always rare and random.
• Smaller lineups may slightly improve odds, but not guaranteed.

Trade-Offs at a Glance

• Theme Depth: Sunday Series offers a unified peaceful theme; regular series span diverse everyday activities. Choose based on the mood you want to display.
• Lineup Size: Sunday Series and most regular series have 6+1 secret; some regular series like Marine offer 12+ secrets. Larger lineups mean more variety but longer to complete.
• Rarity Challenge: Secrets are always rare; smaller lineups might slightly improve odds, but luck still rules. Set a budget and enjoy the surprise.
